He was called Saddam on the street because he was such a tough little boy.  After sponsorship, Saddam was soon in school, learning, and singing songs about the love of Jesus.  Yayra was left in an idol shrine even after the slaves were liberated because her mother didn't make it till liberation day.  She died in slavery, and no relatives were willing to help Yayra.  Now Yayra is becoming a lovely young woman, doing well in school, leading the worship choreography team at Haven of Hope.  The turn-around for all these children came through people like you who shared their love through ECM sponsorship. Sponsoring a child through Every Child Ministries doesn't cost much more, but it does so MUCH more!

Most child sponsorships offered by other organizations provide for only some of the child's needs.  Often the child lives at home and is basically under the parents' care.  The sponsorship gives additional opportunities for the child, and this is wonderful. 

But many of the children sponsored through Every Child Ministries need complete care, not just extra help.  Take, for example, sponsorships that allow a homeless street child to get off the street and come to live at Haven of Hope.  Every Child Ministries is taking complete responsibility for the care and oversight of these children.  Through your sponsorships, ECM provides safe shelter, nutritious meals and snacks, medical care, clothing, supervision, spiritual training, and so much more, 24 hours a day, day after day until the child reaches adulthood.  In the case of street children receiving vocational training, too, the child has no home and no help from parents.  ECM usually has to provide the child with food, shelter, and supervision, in addition to the cost of vocational training.  We believe these children are worth it.  In other caases, your sponsorship permits a child to receive an education, spiritual attention and extra nutrition.  ECM sponsorship doesn't cost more than most others, and it DOES a WHOLE LOT MORE than some!
